About Me
I was born and raised in India and moved to the United States as an adult. Growing up, I witnessed the omnipotence of relationships in people’s lives and it influenced the way in which I help facilitate change in the therapy room. My interest in working with people relationally led me to get specialized training in marriage and family therapy. I consider myself privileged to be in a helping profession and received my education and training in both India and the United States.
I worked and honed my skills as a clinician in a variety of mental health settings before setting up my own practice in 2018. I am also interested in research and teaching. I have co-authored research papers on considerations of social class in therapy and inclusive intake practices for LGBTQIA+ clients. Additionally, I have co-presented on these topics at national conferences. I have also worked as an adjunct instructor at Marquette University, Wisconsin, teaching short-term courses to undergraduate and graduate students.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my inquisitive toddler. Being new to Massachusetts, I also enjoy exploring the state and the rest of New England with my family.
